Debra Duneier, the Founder and President of EcoChi, LLC, is a Feng Shui Master Practitioner, an accredited LEED® Green Associate, a Certified Eco-Designer and a Graduate Gemologist. Ms. Duneier is the creator of the EcoChi® system of design and the award-winning author of “EcoChi: Designing the Human Experience.” Her training, background and perspective have made her a valued resource for media outlets including: Martha Stewart Radio, Brokers Weekly, Social Life Magazine, Barons.com, HealthyLife.net Radio, Better Homes and Gardens TV, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS and the Associated Press, who have sought her expertise on subjects such as: Interior Design, Feng Shui, Gemology, Real Estate, Green Design and Sustainability.
Debra’s EcoChi design system is a globally recognized wellness design standard. She has been featured in the Green Issue of Enterprising Women’s Magazine, Fast Company, GreenCityChallenge.org, Sierra Club, New York Magazine, Green Lodging News, Boutique Design New York, the Wall Street Journal and Huffington Post. Debra, appeared as the Feng Shui expert on the Cable TV show, Natural Reboot, on the Z Living Network.
She was honored as one of the Top Women in Real Estate by Sokol Media/Green Matters Magazine and was awarded the Women’s Builders Council’s Outstanding Women’s Award for being a “Thought Leader in Sustainable Design and People Friendly Environments” in New York City. Debra is Vice Chair of the Global Initiative for Sustainability for the Global Wellness Institute.
More than two decades ago, a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Hong Kong said to Debra; “You have a gift. Do not waste it.” This was the beginning of her spiritual design journey. Her life’s work is bringing beautiful, supportive environments to as many people as possible.
Debra lives in New York City and has two children, her son, Jamie and daughter, Danielle. She finds grounding in nature at her home on the North Fork of Long Island where she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
