Speaker Bio: Chef Marti Wolfson

Marti has been an impassioned educator in the integrative health field for over 15 years. She brings a unique set of skills as a health-supportive chef, educator of Nutrition and Functional Medicine, and practitioner in mind-body therapies. Her CALM (Culinary and Lifestyle Medicine) approach to health and healing motivates people to make sustainable shifts in their health to prevent and treat chronic illness. She provides private and public cooking classes, one-on-one health counseling, corporate wellness lectures and workshops.

Her commitment to a healthy lifestyle stems from her years as a dancer where nutrition and physical conditioning were imperative to preventing injury. With an extensive background in cooking, nutrition, movement, and mind-body medicine, Marti believes in an individualized whole-person approach to health and healing.

Marti was a TEDx Cape May speaker in 2014 and has been a featured chef in the media on ABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News, Shape Magazine, News Channel 12 Connecticut, mindbodygreen.com, www.droz.com, and Cindy Uncorked.

Marti has a degree in Exercise Physiology and Dance from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree from in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. She is a graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute where she currently teaches in the public program. She is on faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health, Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, and The Center for Mind Body Medicine.
